about me
Ray Baron
Ray’s journey has been as diverse as it has been inspiring. Growing up in a military family meant frequent moves; he spent his early school years in Panama and his high school years at Taipei American School in Taiwan. It was during his time in Taiwan that Ray attended a youth retreat and had a life-changing encounter, led to faith by a British missionary, a testament to the global connections that shaped his spiritual path.
Returning to the USA, Ray soon met his future wife, Barb. He joined the Air Force, and shortly after completing Tech School, he and Barb married. His service continued with over four years in the Air Force followed by three years in the Missouri Air National Guard.
Post-military, Ray transitioned to a successful career as an Industrial Engineer, and he now brings his rich experience into the classroom, teaching Engineering courses at the college level for over thirty years.
A devoted Christian for over fifty years, Ray’s life is full of activity. He is a proud father of four and grandfather to ten, all of whom live nearby. His passion for music remains vibrant as he plays in his church’s praise band, and his commitment to the next generation shines as he continues to work with youth. An avid reader, Ray enjoys novels, sometimes finishing two in a week, and is occasionally moved to tears by Hallmark movies. Ray and Barb’s story is a profound example of a life well-lived and loved. God is good.
